I personally wouldnt sleep with a guy!

sounds like either simple chaffing or a jock rash - fungal treatable easily with some lamasil

it is possible it could be thrush in which case yeah it is slightly contagious

if you want to go on sleeping with him suggest he try a little lamasil to clear it up
