Use only Tylenol...Advil is too harsh for the baby

Honestly though...IF you only took it ONCE..it might not hurt at all. I have 3 kids and took Advil a few times with my first and she came out fine.....just as long as you dont take it EVERYDAY....because if you think about it they let me take Darvocet when I had my wisdom teeth pulled...I think that would be more harsh then Advil

Nope, nothing but Tylenol until after you have the baby. I know it sucks, but it's not safe to take anything else. There are too many concerns about thinning your blood with some meds and straining the babys kidneys with others.

I have a tear in my uterus that pulls as the baby continues to grow (I'm almost 35 weeks)....let me tell you, I truly wish I could take something besides Tylenol. This is one of those times where the ends justify the means.

Good luck to you!

Tylenol is all you get when you're pregnant. Ibuprofin, Advil's main ingredient, is too harsh for unborn babies. What kind of pain are you trying to get rid of that you need Advil? Back pain or headache? Hot shower or heating pad.

Acetaminophen ONLY!!! Everything goes through your blood into your babies body and will effect him/her also. You might not feel anything when you take the medicine, but your baby is really small and every little bit of medicine you take is like taking 20 times that amount to your baby. So don't rely too much on medicine. Just drink some water and lay down for awhile, think about something else.

Doctor says don't take advil. So...... it is up to you. You might be taking a chance, call your doctor and tell them Tylenol is not working and see if they can recommend something else. They don't tell you not to take it for no reason. On my medication list it is bold and capitalized DO NOT TAKE ADVIL. Be careful.

Do not take Advil during pregnancy. It can cause problems with your pregnancy. If the Tylenol is not working talk to your doctor, there may be something else that he/she can give you to work.

No ibuprofen at all. Tylenol only. Ask your doctor if you plan to take anything at all. Some meds can hurt your unborn child.
