Have someone else drive while you sit next to him in the backseat--both buckled in appropriately--and nurse him. It works for most babies who hate cars.

I don't thin a dvd will work for a 2 month old. My son hated the car ride for longer distances. I think they hate looking at the seat my husband would sing to him that would work for a few minutes. Unfortunately the only thing that really worked was taking him on more car rides but he wasn't 100% better until we turned to carseat facing forward....don't tell anyone but he was 9 months! His leg were/are very long he couldn't fit facing backwards anymore. Also we tried to schedule long drives around when he naps so he would be sleep that also helped. Even as he is older that still helps for 2 hours hes not complaining or needing to take a potty break he's 2 1/2

my daughter used to HATE going in the car. she would scream the whole time. i always made sure she was dry and full but she would still cry. what i did is played a lullaby CD in the car and sometimes that helped. but i pretty much got used to a screaming baby while driving, sad but i had to do it. after a few months she got used to it and she doesnt cry anymore. your baby will probably do the same thing. just make sure that he is fed, and changed before you go somewhere and make sure his car seat isnt too tight or anything. you may also want to try one of those toy things that attatches to the car seat. and play some lullaby music. other than that there is really nothing you can do except tough it out, it will stop in about a month or two.

screams like fire as soon as you put him in the seat??? my son did that until he was 9 or 10 months!!!!!!! now my 6 month old nephew does the same...
i don't think there is a definate cure ...sorry..but this might help a little... make sure he is fed and dry....snuggle the blankets tight around him if he likes to be bundled up, hand a few bright toys from a near by window or from the seat handle..talk to him while your putting him in and while riding, sit next to him in the back if someone else is driving. a binky??? a mirror so you can see him and he can see you. set him in it for short periods during the day to get him 'use' to it. try to travel when he is sleeping if all else fails... my son had a blanket that i used everytime I nursed him ,after a while it had mine and his scents on it.. it comforted him on a car ride...as well as soft music( sometimes not so soft to tune him out)...don't worry it will get better!

When my baby was 2 months he screamed in the car the entire time. I tried toys and mirrors. They helped a little. With him it was a phase that lasted about a month. He didn't cry if my older children were in the car. I think that he felt that he was left all alone. It was frustating so I tried to run errands without the baby.

My son to this day hates car rides,he's 17 months. I always have a small basket/tub of toys that stay in the car.Good idea to put teethers in there too. I change the toys every so often. We have dvd screens in the back too. Good luck!

Mom of five here! Just make sure baby is fed and diapered before you go anywhere.
I also always find that if i plan my outings when they are ready to nap, that makes all the difference in the world! They usually will sleep most anywhere.
Good luck and congrats on your new sweetie!

My baby liked music from a very early age... you might experiment with different radio stations/cds and volume levels. As he gets older, he might start to like the car better.

have someone with u in the car so they can make the baby feel better. bring some toys... bring a teddy bear plus its favorite toy. you should also be careful when ur driving cuz the car driving on the road might make ur baby dizzy and might get sick.

Try turning a soft music station on the radio or sing to the baby.
