If you use the test the first day after your period they are 99.9% accurate. If you take the test before your period most are only accurate for 93% of women. You may be a false negatives are far more common than false negatives - this usually happens because the test was taken too early.

OTC urine tests are not 100% reliable and can't claim to be. Taking any pregnancy test too early can give the wrong result too, even a blood test sometimes because your body doesn't start producing the pregnancy hormone until the egg implants in your uterus. Some eggs take their own sweet time and flot around for a few days before settling down.

there not always 100% right. but sometimes when u think the test dont work it might actuly be u. some females dont produce enough hormon for the test to detect. i had to wait over a month after my missed period to know if i was actuly pregnant or not cause some times i skip a month and i also dont have enough hormon at the begining for the tests to pick up on. but if thay dont work get a blood test done to tell if ur pregnant or not thay are almost alway right better than the HPT's

They are over 90% accurate when used correctly. That being said, there are many factors that can impact the result. If you test too soon, if you have had a lot to drink diluting your urine (that is if it is early and you are testing), there are rare cases when women don't get a positive at home test but are really pregnant. Generally speaking false negatives are much more common than false positives. In other words if you get even the faintest line, chances are you are pregnant.

They are generally better than 99% accurate if used correctly. false negatives (says your not pregnant when you are) are more common than false positive but either can occur. If you haven't missed your period yet, test again in 1 week if you still haven't had your period.
Testing twice with two different brands is one of the best ways to assure accuracy. Be sure to follow directions carefully.

They worked for me both times. I was about 5 days overdue for my menses, and the pretty pink line showed up in about ten seconds. Your best bet is to wait until your period is a few days late and do it as soon as you wake up in the morning. Since you haven't had anything to drink in several hours, the pregnancy hormones will be higher, if they are there. As for brand-doesn't matter. I used cheap ones both times and they were right!

Correct. sometimes they dont work. Best time to take one is first thing in the morning, when you wake up, your first urination of the morning. Take more than 1 test to be sure. Then see a doctor.

You are more likely to get a false negative than a false posotive. False posotives are almost non-existant. If you are pregnant, the test should always say so. It most likely will never say that you are, if you aren't. If you think you could be, go to a doctor.

They are not 100 percent accurate and can be wrong either way,neg or pos.
You should always check in with your doctor or local clinic regularly.
