New York City Radio SUCKS!!! Everyone here things they are funny or are connecting with there listeners, but they are either racist, sexist, too rich, too outdated, or any number of other things, even the radio stations that play good music have sucky disc-jockeys.
You should see if you can hear anything from Terry Evans morning show from K-Rock in Edmonton Canada. That is a great morning show. Check them out here http://www.k-rock973.com

it's an Irish radio station and they have a wide variety of music and they discuss topics from gardening to dreams and once a week they a a slot of time where a lucky listener picks 4 of their all ime fav songs and they get to host it at the radio station about why and any background they may have on their fav music as well as why it's their favorite.
Then Pandora.com- check it out....
When I get bored of one I listen to the other and I have just found Yahoo's Launch cast- they are pretty good too, it just takes a few minutes to set up your likes and dislikes...
