i will be 102 this year, and all my great grandchildren have them.
they think it's just the domain of the young, but i fought in the battle of the somme, you know, could teach you young ones a thing or two...

I would have to say that if you are not too old to be on a computer, participating in a contest, and asking questions, you are definitely not too old for a mobile phone! In addition, a mobile phone (presume you actually are referring to a cell phone) is a great device for elderly folks, as it provides them easy access to obtaining help and most phones now have GPX on them so if you are lost in the woods or something like that, you can be found because they can track the cell tower you are nearest, etc. I have a neighbor who is in her late 80's and has a cell phone and uses it all the time to keep in touch with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Phones dont have an age barrier you can have all the latest hi-tech your money can buy but I would suggest buying an older model because your grandchildren wont be pleading with you to give them your phone.

They make ones for old codgers nowadays with instructions on the phone, so I guess if they put an old-people mobile on the market, old people must be wanting them :)

Go get one if you want. Try a trac phone. You pay a head of time so you don't get stuck in a contract.
