It hasn't been in the bag for longer than a week or so and there isn't any green stuff growing on it. It's also delicate, so I don't want to do anything that will harm the material or color.

Hot water with a little vinegar used to do the trick for me. I was a varsity swimmer in high school, so it happened all the time. Try about 1/2 cup of vinegar to every 3 or 4 cups of hot water. Let it sit for a while and then launder as usual. You can also add vinegar to the washing machine to "de-sour" towels, etc. It is a handy thing to have around the house.

Soak it in vinegar for 30 minutes before washing. Should get the Mold smell out.

They have a product coming out on the market called Laundry Frebreze and this may work for it.I do not know how long it has been sitting there but you can try that. After you wash it put it outside so the sun can get ot it

Soak for 30-60 minutes in solution of warm water and vinegar. I do this regularly and it works a treat.

Soak it in tomato paste for 15minutes then leave it in the sun till the paste dries...it may bring other problems but at least it wont smell like mould anymore:-)

Soak it overnight in a pre-wash solution before washing it.

Mechine wash it with your other clothes. That's what I did. The smell went away.

soak it in water combined with a small box of baking soda.Also add some fabric softener.

Soak it in Oxyclean in your sink overnight.
