1 millenium = 1000 years

Hrmm, for those previous answerers: Milli means 1,000. 100*100=10000, not 1000. So, ten thousand years is not a millennium--it's ten of them. We just ended the second millennium in 2000. [The first being from 1-1000 and the second from 1001-2000.] That's two THOUSAND years, not two TEN THOUSAND year periods.
Would the term era or epoch apply to answer the question?
