I havnt heard "dis" in a while. Did "burn" replace it? or is that fading as well.

people still use it, but a dis and a burn isn't the same thing anymore, when u get dissed it means people got rid off you, they didn't want you around stuff like that, a burn is like when u still sleep with a stuffed animal and everyone starts laughing

I still hear "dis"...disappointed, disheartened, disgusted...

For someone dissing someone, no, I haven't heard that used in a long time. No, "burn" isn't replacing it. That was a hello and goodbye thing. Stay tuned.

on and off for both words. over here i hear the work "played" more, and i tend to use more than burn or diss. im in nyc.

well it all depends on where your from because some places realy dont say that word any more. like here in miami,fl its used alot.

in some places it's still being used, but now in tha hood, the words "ho" or "Joe" is the term used when someone feels like they're being toyed with.....Example: "Staright up pimp? you tryin to ho me?"

those who grew up in that time still use it, do you still use "homeboy", of "dope"? it stays with us and we catch up with the new too.
