Where I live, 6 feet high is the maximum for a back yard fence, but in the front, anywhere within 25 feet of a road has a much lower height.

depends on who you got as neighbours,
me i want a fence 6ft high barbed wire on top, to stop them jumping over into MY garden all the time, oh and a machine gun at each end of the fence, then when the bunch of low lives and their junky drunky pals want to sit in their garden shouting and bawling at one another, well BRRRRRRRRRRR silence is golden
