Right now as it stands, the Democratic Party and the Republican Party are both part of the same system. The only difference in them are the flakes like yourself who keep arguing over the same stuff year after year- abortion, gay marriage, taxes, etc. Meanwhile, all the jobs are going overseas, our elections are a farce, we're depleting what little resources we have left without any research into an alternate source, and we're poisoning the very place we live. None of these subjects ever come up in an election because they are not allowed to. This is not a Democracy! This is friggin' madness!

Keep repeating that when it comes to Iraq: Republicans want "more of the same." That our economy is in shambles, that the deficit under these "small government" Republicans has ballooned, that this Administration seems more intent upon expanding the reach of the Executive Branch than in laying down the roots of liberal democracy overseas through international cooperation and work.

In other words, we need to be doing a hell of a lot more than we are talking. Republicans have been given the chance to show what they can do with all three branches of government under their control. We need to take a hard look at their results and ask if it is worth it.

What happens is that Democrats have a great base of young people , poor people and minorities who do not vote. We need to let all people know that it is in the best interest of everyone to get out and vote. Also, Republicans could stop cheating in elections, and stupid poor people who vote Republican should be informed that only poor people suffer when Republicans are in power. Under the Republicans we went from a balanced budget to being trillions of dollars in deficit. $1 gas to $4 gas, more poor soldiers dying while only one child of a politician has gone to war....stuff like that.

They didn't have any power in 04 either. What rock have you been hiding under. You have to go back to 1999 to find any serious power for the Democrats.

I think they'd do well if they could just get off this socialism kick. Until they get over that malarky, I doubt many Americans will take them seriously.

The Demos should just keep presenting a positive agenda for affordable heathcare and prescriptions, energy independence with clean alternatives, a healthy and liveable environment, real support for education, reducing the deficit, and protecting our rights. They've got to keep the country's attention from being diverted from the REAL corruption and the Iraq fiasco by fake issues like gay marriage. They've also got to nip every Rovish lie and dirty trick in the bud.

Well, they could start by running a campaign based on what they believe. The only thing democrats in office do is smear the president and other republicans.
I believe more and more people are starting to see how unstable lib. dems. like Hillary, Dean, and Kerry really are. Maybe if a dem with more sense was to run for office they might just win it.

1. Excise the liberal wing from their party.
2. Promote moderate contenders like Warner or Bayh.
3. Attract swing voters.
4. Stop insulting average Americans.

Come up with a coherent plan on defense, the economy, education, immigration etc...
The have to appeal to main stream Americans and not the far left nut cases that are currently in control.
Most Americans do not want Socialism and most Americans do want to win the war on terror.
