HI my favorite would be the Ramones I'm 13 and I hate Greenday Fall Out Boy and all those poser punk bands I wish there where bands right now that played like The Ramones The Clash and Black Flag did in the 70's and 80's so please only list real punk bands and how do you know if what you listen to is real punk in my opinion if the band says they are punk and they have been on MTV they aren't punk or if they don't sing about things like political unrest or how screwed up society is and other things that have to do with the goverment and society like anarchy and police brutality they aren't punk. I think you know my answer Loot!!! Yes, The Damned!!! However I like The Ramones, The Saints, The Sex Pistols, The Buzzcocks, The Soviettes, X-ray Spex, The Clash etc. Totally agree about poser punks like you mentioned in your question!!! These bands I mentioned never sold out,never compromised and didn't give a sh*t!!!! The Damned still aren't making money!!!

There are only two punk bands....The Ramones and the Sex Pistols...everyone else falls into a punk subgenre. For example....you mentioned Black Flag which would be post-punk and the Clash which is....the Clash. So anyway, glad to meet a 13 year old with some good taste in music.

well im very glad that you hate green day and fall out boy, they suck and i don't see why everyone is so into them (along with the other copy and poser bands) as to your question my favorite punk band from tht era would have to be the clash

ahh the good old days, 13 ramones dvd in hand, basement, band practice. welp im 14 now and not much has changed. well i personally liek nofx and rancid. lately ive been gettin into ska, love that ****. you should check it out. and i dunno, is it just me or the last time i saw a music video on mtv was liek 1998, but then fuse came out and i thought there would be hope for punk tv when i saw a unseen video but now they play crap so w/e, some one should start a punk tv station, that would be cool, kinda cliche though
