How can I market my Techno/Electronica music to Promoters/Record Executives?

I want to make money off of my music by playing it in a club or on one of those "Electronica Albums". I know without a doubt that the UK is big on techno and electronica. Burn cd's and take them to ure local radio station, if they get air tyme, the promoters will contact you.
