i'm trying to learn programming, prefeably C++

Here is one from a community college professor's C++ course pages. C++ doesn't work tried it.You can download it from the Microsoft websight.They also have tutorials there.(beware of decompiled script)Something's missing.So---You have assembly/machine.What do you think the Microsoft leap in programing was?I'm seeing that it wasn't line by line but modules.How could you possibly write a program like Paint Shop Pro line by line?You couldn't envision it.
