okay im reading The Life of Pi i don't know what animalus anthropomorphicus means....please help me!!?

This appears to be pseudoLatin. Animalus of
course means animal. Anthropomorphicus means
having the form of a human. This could mean
either that the animal is human shaped or that
someone has attributed human characteristics to
it, whether it actually has them or not.

It refers to "the animal as seen through human eyes"
