file for benefits. its free and worst that can happen is they say no. but you can appeal. it depends on 2 things. 1st - why were you fired? was it for misconduct? 2nd - did you work long enough to establish a valid claim . contact your local unemployment office right away because you may not get back weeks if you wait.

Different states have different standards. In most states, you have to have been working at the job for 90 days. You also have to have been fired for being a flipping idiot or something like that. If you quit or if you stole, you're on your own. Also, if you've only worked there for 6 months or so, you won't get much in unemployment. If you had worked there for 2 years, you might be able to get paid up to 60% of your paycheck every week for a little while.

I believe you must be at least 18 or 21. I could be wrong. Wait tables, its the best way to go at your age. The money is great and the hours are fine for your age. I put myself through college doing it. Good Luck!

absolutely...you want to file immediately, because if you qualify, big IF - there is a delay of one or two weeks before you receive any benefits....so it is certainly worth a try.

I got fired once, out of the blue, and I filled out the paperwork, and my boss fought it, it's usually done via telephone hearings....and I won...so don't miss out on what you may be entitled to....AND, get there early early on Monday because people line up before the doors open.

Depends on what you were fired for. If it's for inability to do the job, etc. then you can. If it was for some form of fraud, no you cannot.

No, not if you've been fired for something you've done.
