Does anyone else disagree with the Raven's decision to bring McNair in to start over Boller? I know Boller has not exactly lit up the league thus far, but he really seemed to be coming on at the end of last season. It was almost like a light finally clicked on and he started playing up to his expected potential. McNair is an established vet obviously, but his best years are undoubtedly behind him, and I don't see him making that great of an impact (except for the possible re-ignited chemistry between him and Derrick Mason) on Baltimores offense. Baltimore has more or less committed to making Kyle Boller their franchise QB, so why bench him after he finally starts to show that he's progressed and is capable of leading the team? BTW, I'm not a Ravens fan, so dont waste your time ripping the team because I don't care. I'd like to hear some serious, thought-out responses.

**Boller's three best games were weeks 14-16, vs Denver, Green Bay, and Minnesot. Denver had a solid defense all year as did the packers (thought i hate admitting it..hate those filthy cheeseheads), and Minnesotas D played really well in the second half of the season. I'm not saying the guy proved that he's the next Marino, just saying he showed marked improvement. At least until his implosion against Cleveland in the last game.

I think it was very bad move for the Chemistry of the Ravens. Boller has worked very hard to get that spot and then they just supplant him. Yes Steve is a proven qb but he is late to learn the system, and that is always a huge factor in weather qb's succeed or not. I think Mcnair should be #2 unless he flat out beats out Boller in camp and preseason. He should ride the pine until Boller sputters.
I think Boller is haveing trouble with the pressure starting the season, and early in the season there is not much film on teams that he can study, so that leads him off on a bad foot gettin started, and it can do alot to his confidence. I think that is why he did so good there at the end.
The browns were getting very good towards the end of the year, and gave my Bengals fits late as well. We did not look like a team that just beat eventual SB winners pittsburg. So i would not judge Boller too much on that.

Like someone already stated, the Ravens had an easy schedule towards the end of the year. I believe Bollers only good game came against the Packers.

I repeat, the PACKERS.

McNair is a dangerous QB....but only when healthy (which isn't all too often).

Whoever said that signing McNair makes them an instant playoff team is smoking crack. The AFCN is going to be a strong division next year, and they will end up in 3rd or 4th....probably no more than 7 wins.

Kyle Boller's success towards the end of last season was inflated due to the schedule. If I recall correctly the last few games were against GB, MN and CLE. McNair is just a better QB than Boller, he is great at finding TEs (Todd Heap owners rejoice!) and has chemistry with Mason. Boller didn't progress, the teams he faced degressed though. Just like MIA, Boller's end of season success was just that he faced inferior teams.

How easily we forget who the co-player of the year was.
McNair hands down over Boller.

Baltimore was more than happy to pickup this proven leader.
When a player becomes marked by the owner/upper management it doesn't matter how good or popular he is... he's out of there.

Tennessee's loss and Baltimore's gain.

As for Boller, well some QB's just can't get it done as a regular starter and are relegated to the backup position. That's not to say they can't have moments or games of excellence. But in the end a regular starter will get you the win in a close game or game of importance.

Mcnair will probably give them 3 years at starting quarterback so that leaves enough time to develop Boller

McNairs best years were with Mason, he has him back, is in alright shape, i think he will get the starts cause of his veteran leadership but i think Boller is right for the job.

Are you kidding me? McNair is a francise player. Of course it was the right decision to go get him.

I believe the Ravens are an instant playoff team at this point.
P.S. I am not a Ravens fan either, just giving my opinion.
