It's probably the muscle, ligament and tendon twitches not the baby. Kind of like when you get spasms in your legs, same idea in your tummy as it begins to prepare to expand for the baby that is growing.
I sometimes felt what I called spasms similar to eyelash twitches...have you ever had that happen, where you feel like your lid is twitching and everyone can see it? Well, I would get a very similar feeling in my tummy (I hope this makes sense :)...my doc said it was the twinges of the round ligaments beginning to pull.
Right now the baby is so very tiny, like the size of a grain of rice I believe. Not enough that you would feel it move inside you.
Good luck with your pregnancy and take care of yourself.

Its most likely something else maybe gas or stomach spasms! If you havent had a sonogram yet to date the fetus, maybe you should express your concerns with your doctor. You could be further along than you may know. The baby is the size of a rice grain at this point.Your body is adjusting and making room for the new precious life. You may feel something as early as ten weeks.

I felt my first flutter at 4 weeks. I was told by my doctor that it could be gas but, of course, if you don't pass gas then what else could it be. He told me I'd start feeling it around that time. It's probably your baby. First time, I assume? Then with my second, he started moving at 5 or 6 weeks then never stopped. My god, it was unbelievable. I had to get up in the middle of the night sometimes and try to get him back to sleep. He was a wild one in there. My stomach would roll and twist. It looked really bizarre. I hope you enjoy your pregnancy. It is and was the most beautiful time in my life.

ok, for one definite it rather is common. maximum women people do no longer understand that what they experience is the newborn moving. It sounds like little butterflies and muscle spasms or twitches. Its very easy.. For one the newborn continues to be nicely tiny, secondly it rather is suspended in fluid, so the rigidity of the kicks is decreased by way of this. maximum women people do no longer understand what they experience is the newborn, maximum merely think of its gas. in lots of situations somebody has to show out that the little twitch flutter feeling is the newborn. it rather is stable which you purely won 5 pounds so some distance. maximum weight benefit ought to come end of 2nd to one/3 trimester in any case in an appropriate international. Dont hassle approximately it, merely wait until 0.33 trimester rolls around you will in all probability placed on atleast 15 pounds. and rather if all you benefit interior the top is 20-25 it rather is great! Techinically speaking, it is not had to learn intense quantities of weight. while you're nicely nourished and consume very wholesome and workout you need to benefit the newborn, fluids, placenta weight and per threat some greater pounds right here and there of definitely fat. some women people do furnish and finally end up weighing much less after then b4 they started. I even have lost 20 LB and purely on week 10, yet i'm obese so its ok for me. Now for the guy that pronounced you will no longer experience it while you're small, it rather is absolutley incorrect. maximum obese women people experience the newborn kick lots later, the greater effective padding reduces the rigidity exerted so what you experience is much greater gentle and occurs later. The smaller you're, the fewer padding on your belly section, so the greater immediatley you experience your uterus previous your belly muscular tissues, that rigidity of the infants kick has to shuttle by way of much less mass to your nerve centers, so which you may experience it quicker. merely rather study the emotions you have, you have gotten felt it already yet you merely experience it off as something else. i might purely hassle if at like 30+ weeks you experience no longer something. by potential of that factor they are in a position to kick especially stressful.

Ive never been pregnant but my sister had this. The doctor told her that it was nerves. There is so much new going on in your belly. Things begin to shift and move around to prepare for baby that the muscle contractions feel like the baby moving. You probably wont feel the baby until 3 months or so. Congrats!!!! I can't wait :)

it may be muscle spasms, gas..it could be a number of things. It's impossible to feel the baby move at 5 wks. I had an ultrasound at 5 wks and the baby was a yolk sac and a little white ring in the sac. Ask your dr what else it could be. My guess is gas.

Yes the baby is suppose to move. That is how you know the baby is normal/ alive. If the baby stops moving (like you dont feel the baby move for a few days) see a doctor asap. Ask your OBGYN all your questions.
