Actually I am going through the same thing right now. I think I may be pregnant, I have not taken a test yet. But today I feel bloated and fat. I thought this was strange, but now I hear your question, so I think i'm normal. Well Good luck if you are pregnant.

Oh yeah did I bloat. I am one of those women who see a positive pregnancy test and put on ten lbs. of bloating immediately. I just struggle through and drink tons of water, around week 12 it begins to wear off.
My doc said is your body trying to protect your belly by adding extra fluid as support around your uterus, especially if you don't have a lot of body fat there already to pad the belly.
Good luck with your pregnancy and have fun. It will get a bit better as you start your second trimester...take care!

I wasn't bloated, but I was told that the feeling could be the inner lining that protects the embryo building layer by layer. Some women get a bloated feeling or something similar to gas.

Yes, I remember getting that bloating feeling early in pregnancy. Just wait, you'll stop feeling like that soon. After the bloating is the horny time (which was fun). Sex was all I would think about for weeks. Enjoy it, after you give birth you won't feel that way for a while--LOL

Bloating was the least of my problems but yes, I had some. It did go away just before the morning/all day sickness set in. But don't worry not everyone gets that and it usually goes away after the first trimester.
BTW....Nice comment Edward.

I found out I was pregnant after two weeks and the signs I had in the beginning that made me realize I was pregnant was being extremely bloated and I ended up having severe heartburn.

Yes, as a matter of fact when I was TTC with my son, I was sure we'd missed the mark and would get no BFP that month. For several days I kept running to the bathroom sure I got AF, with NOTHING. I had all of the usual PMS type symptoms.

When I was in my first week of pregnancy I didn't know I was pregnant. I didn't find out I was pregnant until I was about 21/2 - 3 mos pregnant with both my boys.
