I also heard that smelling flowers means you will hear of a death. Have smelt flowers numerous times and always hear of a death soon after. The person who dies does not have to be related to you so do not worry or maybe you are a wee bit psychic

Smelling flowers is not a sign of death. I have the same thing quite often. Ghosts or however you'd like to refer to them, visit us occassionally, smells like you refer to often come hand in hand with them. It is nothing to be frightened of, neither are you going mad. It should be a nice feeling that someone has come to see you, to see how you are getting on. I often smell violets, violets being a fragrance my grandmother wore. I often just say 'thank you' to let them know i appreciate the sign. If it is bothering you though, just polietly ask, they turn down the strength'o'meter a little, when it happens again of course. Hope this helps a little.

I am going to go out on a limb here and tell you it's something to do with sex.

You could be having a hormone surge.

Ordinarily this type of thing can happen around puberty or actually through an overactive sex life. After sex, production of the hormone prolactin surges. This in turn causes stem cells in the brain to develop new neurons in the brain's olfactory bulb, its smell center.

Anyway, I would see a doctor because it could be a symptom of some overactive hormone-producing gland.

This has nothing to do with a warning of death, but it could well be connected to a member of your family, or close friend you has passed away. There is nothing to be afraid of, just think and see if you can recognise the flowers, you may then be able to find out who it is, they are only sending you their love, and letting you know they are OK.

Love & Peace

Dotty, this is also the smell of Saint Therese known as the little flower. It is also something my guardian angel used to do for me in times of stress. Hence...stop and smell the flowers.

Usually smelling flowers is associated with ghosts. Contact your local spiritual church / medium / white witch or other person who deals with ghosts and ask them to come and investigate. You may have someone trying to contact you or, if it is one particular place you smell the flowers, it may be that a spirit has not moved on.

Don't wanna scare you but, It could be the smell of a spirit. I used to get that smell all the time, and the smell of freshly baked bread. I was told they were the smells of spirits.
But they won't harm you, if they haven't done already.

For years after my gran died i could smell a really strong pleasent scent fom time to time. It would occur when i was feeling really low and it followed me around the country. I also smelt it from time to time on a cardigan i wore to bed and never washed (seriously) and when my sister was very ill. I think it was my gran letting me know she was around for us. Just an idea there.
