No, they don't win anything.
The only thing bashing can do is make it easier to be violent again. Once a person has crossed that threshold and become violent, they start to desensitize to it. It gets easier and easier until they become a small, hateful, violent, narrow minded, bigoted jerk and an embarrassment to all of humanity.

Hey i am openly anti- gay, i read in books, that deep down i have a secret that i like boys, what the hell.... i wouldn't bash them if i liked them stupid, nor will i take their money and give it to the needy, i dislike gay people. And i am a gay- basher literally.
