Sorry to be pedantic...but if it went right up your back it would be pubic hair it would be back hair.
If you have excessive body hair it is usually either due to genetic inheritance (your mom or dad was very hairy or you come from a hairy race of people) or you might have a hormone inbalance.
If it's your hormones you can get treatment - might be a good idea to check with your doc to rule out anything (slight possibility of polycistic ovaries - very treatable condition)
Sounds fascinating anyway.....quite alluring....I hope it sets a new fashion. Most cultures are obsessed with women's bodies - and the idea that women should be hairless is culturally constructed.

Huh? Pubic hair is located in your PUBIC region. What you're talking about is back hair.

Have you ever been checked for spinal bifida occulta? Seriously... You may have a mild case of it. One of the tell tales of spinal bifida is a patch of hair on the lower back commonly called a "bunny tail".
