The Clan of the Cave Bear is the first book of a five book series written by Jean Auel. So far, four books have been written. I have read them all and enjoyed them immensely, they transport you to another world that you don't want to leave. The movie I also saw and count it among one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

I liked the book - if your talking about 'Clan of the Cave Bear'. I haven't seen the movie, but i heard it wasn't very good or accurate.

Perhaps no one's answered yet because they don't realize that you mean "The Clan of the Cave Bear." (That IS what you mean, I hope.)
I read the book quite a while ago and enjoyed it - sorry, I can't report on the movie, having never seen it.

The books are great the movie sucked big time, it was so bad Jean Auel broke the contract with the movie company so they could not make another one of her stories.

I loved the series, didn't know there was a movie!
