It was a Rugby team. First came out as a book, than a movie some time back, called "ALIVE". It was a good book. They didn't actually eat the humans. They made pellets from the meat. Something like beef jerky. Read the book. You'll understand it was a matter of survival. Some refused to eat it and they did die.

I don't actually remember the story of the Uruguayan football team air crash, but I think enough has been written about it since. The film "Alive" showed what suffering the initial survivors endured and what courage it took to take the steps they did and be open about it when they returned to civilisation.

The Argentinian rugby team in the Andes mountains. One of the survivors has just published his account of what happened. Should be a good read!

yeh...they crashed in the Andes mountains. They had to resort to cannibalism to survive. A few of them hiked out and brought back help. The movie "Alive" was based on them. Tragic story.

yeah if that was the one made into the film Alive! weren't they on there way to play Chile? I'm sure there's a mast or something like that in one of the peaks to remember the unfortunate soles who didn't make it.
