I've been going to the tanning bed for a couple years now in the summer. And I've been using the same kind of lotion because I really like it alot. My boyfriend wants me to try a new kind of lotion because he says I look more of an "orange-brown" than a "brown-brown". I told him that I didn't think it mattered which lotion you use, because I thought the color you tan was based on your skin pigment. I though different people tan different shades based on their pigment. Is this true? Or will using a different kind of lotion change the shade of my tan?

My tan lotion does not have bronzer in it. I personally don't think I look "orange-brown", but I guess it doesn't really matter what I think I look like...other people "know the truth" lol. I can send a link to a picture if that'll help?

I think you are right---you tan the color you naturally tan. however, tanning lotions are different. some have bronzers in them, giving a self tanner "immedialte color". these bases are different in different products. some are just bronzers, then there are double bronzers and even triple and quadruple bronzers. i would ask a girlfriend if you appear orange looking. if she aggrees, no matter how much I liked the lotion, I would find another.Tan Inc. makes awesome lotion.
sure----no problem
