In Bentonville, home of Wal-Mart my daughter's best friend has been working at the store for two years (since she was 16) and she loves it. Of course there are laws about how long a 16 year old can work and stuff. It's a great place to work. Good luck!

Wal-mart CAN hire as young as 14 but usually does not hire anyone under 18, because a minor cannot use a boxcutter or even throw trash into the compactor.---And just as a side note, wal-mart's not as bad as everyone says. I paid less than $20/every two weeks for medical insurance, and started making $8.25/hr (minimum base pay is $7/hr, and you get minimum 40 cent raises every year.) When I left in May, after 2 1/2 years, I was making $9.80, only five cents less than my mom is making at a rival store---she works in a higher position and will celebrate her 10th anniversary in September.

I think to work their permanately is 21 because that's the legal age of a matured adult. But I'm sure lots of high schoolers work there for a part time job, and I'm sure they don't work there every single day without studying. Well, I guess it's 16-50s because if you're over 60, then it would be really too old. So yeah....

umm 16, and second of all, before you apply watch the documentary walmart: the high cost of low prices, and then you won't want to work there because they treat you like a baby treats a diaper.

18 but you can even be 15 to work there the only reason they dont hire them because of state laws and if they go over the the store manager gets in touble so thats why they wont hire minors.
