A couple of years ago that is what I weighed and I am 5'5. I couldn't get any lower than that and frankly didn't think I needed to. I was wearing a size 6. My doctor told me that I needed to lose an additional 20lbs!! Crazy woman. I didn't need to.
The question is do you think you are overweight. I would really go by how you feel. Do you feel healthy? Are you in good shape?

For a female the ideal weight for 5'5 is between 130-145...
The question you should be asking is "Are you happy?" B/c in the end..............that's all that really matters...

For a male------I do not know the ideal weight for 5'5 but it is not hard to find out..

If your unsure about anything, you can always do searches for medical web pages.. They should be pretty helpful. Take care..

It depends on what age you are. If you are under 16, you may still be growing, and that would be an ok weight. If you are older than that, you are starting to get a bit overweight.

Suggestion? Find yourself a glycemic index and eat foods (carbohydrates) with the lower numbers, in addition to your protein and good fats choices. You won't have to worry about dieting, as your food choices will do it for you.

Do you feel like you are? If you are happy and healthy, then why worry about it. If you aren't happy, then change it. That is all that you can do and try not to worry about it. You're fine where you are!

not necessarily. i would never measure it by whether you are overweight or not but whether you are healthy. it depends on your body fay and muscle mass. you can go to your doctor to figure out whether or not your fears are justified.
