My husband has had a continual headache for the last 7 years. It never leaves and he has also lost consciousness about 4 times because of it. He's been to specialist, taken about every prescription known to man and had tons of tests done. We've even tried accupuncture and chiropractics with no help so far.
I came across a site for nexoprin, stating that it would help migraines or your money back. Any answers or feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I have no idea on that med but I see a neurologist and I take Imitrex injections and that works great for me I'm assuming you have already tried that but I also take Topamax daily to prevent them. The meds were originally for people with Epilepsy but have recently been patented for Migraine prevention and work well for me. Sorry I can't help more but I wouldn't try anything without consulting your doctor. Especially not something in a magazine or something because it may help his headaches and then cause other problems in the future.

I had TRUE migraines...for decades after I had Meningitis. Nothing seemed to help. Imitrex did the job if taken early enough. I kept food logs - it really made a difference - but until I was put on and anti-seisure medication (Neurontin) for its side effect of helping neuopathy, I was never free of the sickening recurrence. Since mine caused classic light sensitivity (a match in the next room looked like a lazer), wavy walls, floors, & ceilings adding to the ever so lovely nausea, etc., meant a minimum of three days lying VERY still in bed - even breathing too deeply made it worse, taking high doses of the strongest pain killers, etc. I have now been MIGRAINE FREE - bless all that's holy - for SEVERAL YEARS!!! I can even eat all the 'stuff' - preservatives/nitrates etc. now. People have NO idea how long term pain devastates ones life. I wish you both all the best, especially a swift diagnosis and appropriate relief.. !!!

I haven't tried nexoprin....I have chronic severe migraines, Imitrex doesn't touch them. I usually use Aleve(naproxin sodium) and Head ON(the stick that you rub onto your forehead), or migraine patches(made by WellPatch), using them on my forehead and neck(you can also substitute fever patches if you can't find migraine patches, same thing). Also, I find head and facial massages to be extremely helpful. My kids will rub my head and even slightly pull my hair, it gives me instant relief, not completely, but definitely takes the sharpness down a notch or two. Sounds kinda crazy, I know, must be something to do with blood flow, and this may not work for everyone, but it feels like someone is saving my life at that moment. Good luck, anyway, I hope this helps a little.

No haven't tried those, but i do drink coffee and use an ice pack on my head for the pain. Recently stopped eating dairy products, and haven't had a migraine in some time. Might be worth a try; allergies are linked to migraine.

Try FEVERFEW!!! it's an herbal supplement that rescued me 10years ago...I was having them twice a month, & had jsut had a baby...couldn't crawl under the covers for a day or so to get rid of it anymore...so the hospital gave me Imitres...and promptly discovered I'm allergic to that....so talking to a friend, she told me about it & I started taking 1 capsule every day for the next 2 months...didn't have a single headache! Then it was almost 6 months before I got a vision disturbance (here it comes...) so I took another capsule & it went away, without ever exploding into a headache. Like I said, it's been over 10 years, & I've only had 1 mingrane since then, when I was out of town without my supply of feverfew.
Look for it at a healthfood store. No side effects that I've ever noticed & no drug interaction warnings either.

For my less severe migraines I've found that naproxen helps. Given your husband's symptoms I doubt naproxen sodium will help. I guess it can't hurt to try. You may be wise to go to a different specialist. I use Imitrex for my bad migraines. At one point my doctor thought I'd have to take it by injection because they got so bad.

I did a bit of research and found the following links. Check them out. I pray that you find something to help him. God bless!

I get a lot of headaches and some of them migraines. Nothing works for me except goody powers or BC. They are powered aspirin with caffeine in it. They work within 2 minutes.
