The person nailed it above, there were plans for long range bombers, US merchant men were being sunk by U-boats in the Carribean and along the Atlantic Coast, not to mention the convoys in the Atlantic. I haven't read about a direct assault by soldiers other than the long-range bombing. No doubt, if he beat the Russians and Brits, he would've want world domination eventually....afterall, he was a certifiable megolomaniac....

Although he didn't wnt to fight the U.S. initially, after Pearl Harbor HE declared war on US! There were some plans, fortunatley not consummated, for a long range bomber (later, ballistic missiles)to hit targets such as NY and Washington. Also, to destroy the Panama Canal. The good news is that the war ended before these plans could be put into action. There were MANY German submarines sneaking around off the U.S. too. Some actually did drop off spies and saboteurs. So, in answer to your question: YES!.

Yes, he did want to come over to the United States and conquer this country. However, he had his hands full with all of his multi-faceted projects. Since Hitler was overwhelmed, he could not place many of his plans into operating status. The United States was one of his major points-of-interest, but we had the allies who would have joined into the fight. Hitler did not want this. Just recently, an abandoned German submarine was discovered near Florida. It was disabled and thus couldn't successfully bring a force to the United States to engage us. This gives us the knowledge of the nerve Hitler had. I am glad that he did not have the forces to carry through his plan. Remember this, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" - Romans 8:31. Peace and God Bless.

First, 'King Potato' needs a serious geography lesson.

As for your question, the answer is "yes". Hitler's missile program - the forerunner to all world spaceflight (both U.S. and Soviet) - was using London as a test target. But the development goal of his missile program was to be able to accurately bomb the U.S. east coast prior to invasion. Hitler wanted unrestricted access to the North Sea so he could grow his navy so as to competently project force across the Atlantic to the U.S. Hitler's internal documents show that he did not want war in Europe to break out until 1942 (versus 1939), and then he did not want to involve the U.S. until 1948.

Imagine Adolf Hilter with The Bomb.

Has everyone forgot what dragged the US into WWII to begin with? I'm sure you've heard of the Zimmerman note? Hitler was actively trying to recruit Mexico to invade the U.S. and keep us busy. The zimmerman note was a communique intercepted by the U.S., which detailed plans for this to happen.

So yes! Not only did he have plans to do so, he tried to implement them!

It was said in "Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" by WIlliam L Shirer, he did not want war with the US. He was afraid of it's industrial might and he did feel a kinship with America. He did not want war with Britian because he felt a kinship with them too. If Britain had not declared war, then Germany would not have gone to war with Britian.

He only declared war on the US to appease the Japanese. It took him 3 days to declare war after Pearl Harbor. The US DID NOT declare war on Germany until after Germany declared first. When the US declared war on Japan, Germany was not on the list.

Yes. He always pestered Von Braun (you know the V2 guy) to build a rocket that could hit the continental US. Be thankful Von Braun never built it or let Hitler knew plans for a multi stage rocket existed. Also, thank Heisenberg for successfully never letting the Nazi atomic bomb program succeed.

The war did come to the US but only in small ways. German subs were surfacing in the Atlantic off the coast in some instances Germans landed in Maine and on the other side there was an attempt by the Japanese to bomb the mainland in California, it was poorly executed and failed to blow up an oil refinery.

Yes, in fact I think Japan was supposed to attack from the East, While The Germans attacked from the West. or something like that. But he was going to conquer Europe first. (especially England) But, the Japs bombed Pearl Harbor & weren't supposed to (especially at the time they did) So The US. joined forces with the allies, and won the war.

Hitler didn't specifically plan to fight the US,but after the Japanese attack he decided to declare war, hoping the US would be distracted with Japan and that US aid to Britian and The Soviet Union would be reduced, allowing him to defeat those countries.
But unfortunately for him,the US chose to concentrate on fighting Germany first, and he lost the war.
