If the egg is unprotected then wear gloves & transfer the egg to a make shift nest made up of grasses, leaves, ect & keep it warm in the late evening & night with a thick towel. Around 10am if it is about 78degrees or greater remove the towel. after the baby is born worms & insects hunting will be your job

Good luck

The egg is probably a robin, since its blue. Just leave it alone and watch from a distance. Your interaction could only cause harm, even with the best of intentions. The mother bird knows best what to do. But get lots of pictures!

if it is a song bird.. not sure what bird has blue eggs... it may be protected by law.. you should leave the egg alone and let the mother take care of it.. otherwise... follow the above hatching and feeding instructions.. and .. good luck!!! hehe... you will need to feed it a LOT of worms and keep it warm

If it's blue it's probably a robin's egg. If the mom is not tending to it it's probably dead.
