When i was a kid, and we were setting this trend, we didnt have all the nice hip stores and fashions that you have now. You know, where the clothes are actually made for teen aged bodies, and priced at an arm and a leg.
We relied on sewing machines and the salvation army. It pays to be mocked and uncool for doing your own thing.... all these years later its the trend.
