Yes. It takes a long time to get over some people. Sometimes a year, sometimes a year and a half. That's why it's a good idea to wait a bit after a breakup or a divorce before getting too involved with someone new - because you are "regrouping" your personal energy and getting used to being satisfied with doing things on your own again.

Totally normal if you had a relationship that lasted more than a week! I have an ex boyfriend from 1973-74 that still calls from time to time to let me know he misses me. He's not the only one either. I let them know I miss those days too. We have all moved on, but it is nice to know you impacted someone's life that much. She probably misses you too, even though you both have moved forward. You are sweet.

Yes, there's always gonna be a special place in your heart for that person that time can never touch...I still miss my ex in a sense and I'm engaged to be married in August. We dated for 5 yrs and we've been broken up for almost a yr.

according to sex in the city, it takes 1 month for each year you were together to get over the ex. My ex broke up w/ me 4 months ago, and we were together 5 years, so I guess next month I'll be good to go. Good Luck.

I know it is very possible especially if you really loved her like I loved my girlfriend that just broke up with me a week ago. we've been together three years though ill probably be in your same situation
