Disney channel has new music videos out called "Choo Choo Soul" with Genevieve. Looking to buy the cd.

Question

I went to the site choochoosoul.com and they are the ones responsible for giving the music to disney to air on playhouse disney, but there is nothing to buy. I did some searching and found it was sold at one point, but it is permently out of stock on another site call cdbaby.com. I did a yahoo search and disneychanel.com search and found nothing helpful to speak of. I also e-mailed the company to see what was going on. I found a couple of short reviews and samples of the music too. I tried itunes music store and found other disney stuff, butt no hits on "Choo Choo Soul". My daughter loves it. I happen to see it on playhouse disney between shows. They are about two minutes long. From the look of it, only five of the 12/13 songs made have gone over to the videos on playhouse disney.

Hi Friends, This is Genevieve from Choo Choo Soul! You are correct, Disney does now own the rights to the music and we are all sold out of the CD's. I am very excited that there is a demand for the music and I really hope Disney sees this too!!! We are working on new songs and plan to film some new videos in the next month. As for the timeline, I am not sure when Disney will release the CD, but any feedback sent directly to them could only help speed up the process!!

Also- Disney will be adding a link to their Playhouse Disney site this month where parents (and children of course) can watch the videos online. There will also be a section for feedback.

I have had the same problem. I have been searching for weeks now, the first time I checked the site it said permanently out of stock also but now says check back soon. So maybe they are going to do something. I say we all storm Disney with emails and maybe they will do something. Until then I guess I will just keep recording the ones that come on TV.

I did some searching and I found a website for it:

There's a Buy button on the website that brings up a page that says "Please check back soon!".

Most likely what happened is that Disney bought the rights to the music, so CD Baby is no longer allowed to sell the CDs. I imagine Disney will repackage the music and mass distribute it on one of their labels. You should keep an eye on the website for further information.

My boys also love it! I'm thinking that Disney is probably sitting on the production and sales rights, too though. I've searched the Disney Channel website, and couldn't find anything at all about it there. I think an email/letter writing campaign is a great idea! :)

genevieve goings

Born to musicians, Genevieve grew up in front of live audiences, where she developed her vocal talents through years of performing. She began her career in hip-hop and found herself featured in a multitude of live shows and studio albums. To date, Genevieve can be heard on almost 40 albums.
