I think a better question is why is half the world obsessed with that movie when the songs are horrible and the acting stinks? I am a teen girl (one of those people who are supposivly obsessed with it) and it is just a stupid movie. I left before I saw the end because I got so bored. Complete trash. Don't make your brother watch it.

Have you tried asking him why? Not everyone has to like what everyone else likes. It is called "High School Musical." He's 10. He would probably rather watch "Cars" - something more age apporpriate.

Maybe cause boys dont like musicals as much as girls do. The whole story was about finding yourself, songs, and a little romance...maybe he just finds that cheesy.

Maybe it's not his type of movie. Your brother is probably into action/adventure movies. I think you should see the movie, and maybe you will like it.

It is a "new generation" version of Grease...it sucks...but all lil' kids love it because then they have something to relate to when Grease is mentioned!
