Years ago we spent all night (it was morning when we left!) in a Flamenco bar in Madrid - - it was great!
This July (July 8-9) we'll be in Sevilla Saturday night and Granada Sunday night. I know there are many flamenco tourist shows in these cities but we'd like to see more of the real thing, in a club or a bar. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Authentic ...
El Tablao "Los Gallos"... in La Plaza Santa Cruz...Seville. (near the french consulate). Many of Spains best flamenco dancers and singers started here...
Pure Flamenco shows, they have been there since the early 1960's., and have two shows nightly, the first at 8 pm to 10 pm, the second at half past ten pm to 0:30. You had best reserve a table, the place isn't all that big...
Of course there are a lot of small tablaos (flamenco thaters). Ask at the hotel you'll be staying at...and tell them you want real flamenco ...not tourist shows...
In Granada all you have to do is walk around El Barrio del Sacromonte and El Albaicin, both neighbourhoods ooze flamenco from the pores! (Also ask at your hotel)
Enjoy your visit to Andalucia!
