One unusual thing about sea horses is that the male is the one that gets pregnant. The male has a pouch that carries the eggs laid by the female. In that pouch, the male fertilizes the eggs. When the male gives birth, he pumps his tail until the baby seahorses emerge. Interesting, isn't it?

bit backwards here - the man carries the eggs - and a bit like frogs they are fertalised outwith the body - so neither actually "carries" the pregnancy
