When I asked as a little kid, my mom told me that they were made with a lot of love...she said I accepted that as answer...I may have been 6 or younger.

Tell her to go ask your parents. They will be able to explain it the way they want. Children that young should only know certain things.
Worst case scenario : when two people love each other very much they decide to have a baby. The daddy plants a seed inside the mommy and the mommy gets pregnant. The baby lives inside the mommy for 9 months until it's ready to be born. Then the baby comes out of the mommy and now they are a family.
That one of the best ways to tell a child. They won't understand the technical stuff.

The baby factory! Mommies and Daddies make babies at the baby factory. The factory has a big motel 6 sign in front of it. Once mommy and daddy put about 5 minutes of work at the factory, mommy smokes a ciggarette and daddy falls asleep.
The baby that mommy and daddy made grows in mommy's belly. Soon the baby can't fit in mommy's belly anymore and the baby crawls out of the mother's belly. The baby takes a shower and gets cleaned up then goes home. That's how babies are made.

I think it's VERY important to be honest with children about these matters. Don't use the Stork explanation or the "baby catalog" story. Those will cause confusion later in their childhood, especially when they're friends begin discussing this. Try to sugar coat the truth: When two people (a mommy and dady) love each other, they create a baby to share their love with. Or the baby grows in mommy's tummy and then comes out when it's ready. Or something universally spiritual and non-religious, like the baby's sould sits in the clouds and waits to find the perfect parents. Then the baby brings the parents together so he/she can come down and grow in mommy's tummy.

Hello. I would explain to her that babies come from mommies tummy. Then if she asks for more info I would either give her just a direct answer or if the first answer satisfies her then I would drop the subject untill she brings it up again. Children at the age of 6 and older are smarter than you think. The one thing I wouldnt do is lie to her. It could lead to confusion and a loss of trust/credibility down the road.

I was preg. with my 3rd child and my 2 yr old analytical son wanted to know where it would come from. I took out my preg. book and showed him the pics and explained how the baby grows and where it came out. Every mo. we would get the book out and see how big the baby was. He was fine and never had any problem with it. His 8 yr old brother shared in with the book experience and that helped him know everything was ok. We got to the how did it get there when he was about 6 and I was just as truthful then. I did the same for my daughter when she asked and they all handled it great and weren't confused or telling others some wacky story about storks. I explained to them that some things you juusst don't talk about! It is the job of the other kids parents to tell them!

Only Mommys have the secret recipe. Because they are so smart. But they know how to do it. Then they grow the baby in their belly until it's big enough. Oh, and Daddy helps too. He has to make sure Mommy has lots of rest and all the right things to eat because growing a baby is hard work.

They come from the mommys belly. A seed is planted and than a baby grows. Than mommy and daddy go to the hospital and bring the baby home. Its the truth, so you will not feel bad about lying or anything. this should be enough for right now. Good luck

A man and a woman make a baby together. It grows inside the woman's tummy and then after 9 months she goes into hospital and the baby is born.
Hopefully she will be happy with that and won't ask for details of exactly how the man and woman make the baby or how it is born, but if she does, you can tell her that she will learn all about that at school when she's a little older.

Only give enough information to quickly answer the question. She does not want the story of the "birds and bees".
-It takes a mom and dad to make a baby. The baby grows in mom's belly for a long time and then is born. You have to be a grown up to have a baby. When you are a woman and your body looks like Mom's, then you will be old enough to have a baby grow in your belly.

When mommies & daddies share their love with each other & they want 2 show everybody how much they, love each other, they ask God 4 a baby. God puts a baby in the mommies' belly 2 grow until it's old enough 2 come out & play with everybody.
