My boyfriend and I decided to have sex for the first time last night, I'm a virgin, and when he was just like a inch in, it hurt so bad, and we had to stop. Do we need more forplay? How long till it wont hurt so bad?
Thanks

yes you need more foreplay... and you need to relax. You were probably nervous and had high expectations.... Next time you will be concerned because you are afraid it will hurt again. Just relax and take it as it goes. Also, use more lubricant, this can help alot... Finally, if after a few weeks of trying you still can't have sex because it hurts, go to the doctor... it is not unheard of that you might have a really thick hymen or some other problem that can be fixed by your doctor.. making sex pain free. Also.. USE A CONDOM (not only does this help him slide in easier, you don't get pregnant or STDS...)

Of course it will hurt for the first time.
To answer your question, yes, more foreplay is needed. I suspect that:

- your private part was not well 'lubed'
- you were too tensed and the 'opening' for your 'entrance' was not big enough
- your boyfriend poked his finger in too fast.

Over all, the most possibility that it hurts like hell was... you were not 'wet' enough. Try use some lubricants, or have your boyfriend spit some saliva to lube up your private part so that the 'going-in' process will be smoother and less painful.

Cheers!
