Maybe we only know of all the pedophiles here because we hear so much of it on the news. However, this is a problem all over the world. The laws are pretty stringent on pedophiles here in the U.S. In countries like India, and the Muslim countries, China, etc, there is a very high prostitution rate. I believe in China and Japan, and the Netherlands, it is legal and in at least China, many of them are even ten or eight years old. I've heard that many beautiful caucasion little girls are kidnapped from the U.S. to be flown over to India just to be played with. You should always know where your children are, especially if your child is a girl.

I think it's possible that it does in the KNOWN world. First of all, compare the number of people in the U.S. to other countries. Very few have as much population. Then the countries that are left, how many of them do you think get known about on the news? Not in China, that's for sure. Or most other countries. There are such freedoms in the U.S. and the news is so out there about everything, that any crime seems much worse in the U.S.

Probably. I belive we are allowing too many people to think that because it is a free nation that they can do whatever they want. People don't realize that their rights only exist as long as those rights don't interfere with someone elses rights. IE smoking. Someone has the right to smoke BUT only as long as it dosn't force others to have to put up with the second - hand smoke.
