The Administration told the truth about WMD in Iraq and ties to Al Queda before the war.

The administration hasn't laid down its life. They're in Washington. The troops are the ones that get told to lay down their lives. The administration just sits back and reaps the benefits of the military contracts their friends get.

As for the question. It has been shown over and over again that the current administration has lied many times (not to say that other administrations haven't lied either, but this administration has been the worst in years). Many news organizations will show current speeches where the administration says one thing now, but then show a speech from a few years ago where they said the complete opposite. And they will tell you they never said it. They can't get their facts straight and hide other facts. (Like with global warming: if 500 scientists tell you the Earth is on fire and 1 tells you it's not, why do you listen to the 1?)

What administration hasn't lied to Americans? You KNOW the government keeps lots of secrets from the American public and sometimes it is for our own good - they keep things secret and lie to prevent mass panic.

For example: If aliens landed on the planet tomorrow and approached President Bush in peace and wanted to help humanity better itself - do you really think you'd see a story on the 11 o' clock news? Heck no! Proof of life on other planets would cause most if not all religions to break down - to my knowledge most of them support the idea that we are alone in the universe - aliens landing on Earth would prove all those religious theories wrong and there would be chaos.

It's an extreme example, but it proves a point.

I believe Bush administration had all the information they needed to save some of the lives that were lost on 9/11 due to terrorist attacks. Their reasoning for not taking action to save those lives is not known to me, but I can speculate that they wanted to start a war and raise oil prices. However, who's to say that it wouldn't have caused mass panic to inform the public of the attacks and request that no one report to work in the World Trade Center? How would they have prevented the hijacking of the planes without causing severe damage to the airline industry. It's just a sticky situation.

I still think there were solutions, though. I think a lot of those lives could have been saved if they had been given information - even false information ("we are closing down the WTC today due to massive pest control issues" - who cares if it isn't true and people suspect something - they would still be alive today).

Then again, what do I know?

Is there any administration in the history of the United States (heck, the world) that hasn't lied about something? No.

Is the Bush administration the biggest bunch of liars since Nixon? Oh, Yeah!

I really don't mean to convey apathy but name me one administration that didn't lie to America. Rational? "Sometimes it's in the best interest"
