Conservatives piss and moan about all the people on welfare, but they won't raise the minimum wage. Working full time at minimum wage pays $206/wk (gross). After taxes, social security etc, you're not left with much. Welfare pays better than that. What do they expect to happen. I still can't figure how these republican millionaires think $5.15/hr is enough to live on, but whine about having to pay their taxes.

I wouldn't have a low paying job unless I reallly needed one. Then again I wouldn't major in something stupid either. Not everybody really has a choice.

No. It's ridiculous that a minimum wage increase did not get approved. I guess that the powers-that-be think that it's possible to live on $5.15 an hour.
