My husband recently began thinking about getting circumcised. Oddly enough i've never been with a circumcised man and didn't really know how to respond when he told me he was thinking about having it done? Is it really any different at all? Has anyone been in a similar situation? Well any answers/advice would help really.

I do not recommend it. Why does he want to do that? Religious or medical reasons? From my understanding sex is not nearly as good because it cuts nerves. It is pretty painful for the man. Also nothing will protect the tip of his penis...from rubbing againsts his pants/underwear. It should not really be different for you. Oral sex is actually easier because you do not have to consider the foreskin. But I am sure he has his reasons just make sure that he understand what he is doing.

Why? after all this time, and to be honest honey, it is better with the skin there is a difference. I watched a documentary on this matter, and some doctors say that it isn't really necessary and sometimes if it is not done correctly some of the penis is cut off, but they were referring to the babies. Also, they showed men who had been circumcised, who are know getting the skin back on. They go through some process of pulling the skin down from the penis and strapping a weight at the end. This one guy did it and his wife said that the sex was better with the skin, I must agree with her. It is like the ultimate condom with ridges, they can imitate, but never duplicate. Well, good luck.

My husband was circumsized when he was 26, right before we got married. Whether a man is circumsized or not really has no significance on their performance, they either know how to "move it" or they don't and can learn. The only thing I've heard about is the difference in cleanliness, and either way that all depends on the man and how hygenic he is.. If it'll make him happy, who cares? It's definately brave of him...my husband was in pain for at least two weeks after his surgery. Why don't you try talking to him about it? As a married couple you should be able to share your thoughts on things like this.

I have been in the similar situation and it is a little different. A uncircumcised man has a lot more excess skin and just trust me it feels different. I enjoy a circumcised man over a uncircumcised man because it feels a lot better and you can feel it a lot more then with all the excess skin.

Honey, my husband is not circumcised, and you and i know that's not really, very hygenic (when he pees?) If he wants to, let him go ahead. If the head of his penis is not inside of all the skin, it's cleaner and there are some studies that suggest that an umcircumcised man is more suceptible to developing fungus or stds.
