when I was in bed last night I was talking to my cuz. Then it just came up to my mind since we were talking about spiders. Answer so my 10 yr old cuz will be able to understand. She want to know to. Most informative, kindest, and serious will get best answer unless nne of them are.

in fact i was just wondering that same thing last night..(dont ask). now im pretty sure that insects poop and pee because how would they hold it in?! they have to at some point!

to convince her, you can collect a couple of assorted meadow insects, like grashoppers, beetles and leave in a jar for a couple of hours. and you will see the little things

some insects dont eat once they are adult (only as larvae) so these dont poop - some moths

insects that drink nectar or suck juices have liquid poo (butterflies, bees, flies as a rule). did you know that poo of aphids is sweet liquid, because aphids suck juices and cannot use up all the sugar. on a hot day yhen you are under some trees (lime, mapple) you can feel sticky droplets "raining" down or you see that leaves are sticky with it. Bees collect this poo and make good quality honey of it.

yes they poop teeny little turds. ever notice black specks on your walls or mirrors.....fly poop!
