Why Americans look at Britney as someone bad? I mean marrying, gaining weight and giving birth is not bad...?

I live outside the US I'm just wondering why Amerricans are like that to Britney who's just going through the same stage as any woman who's just beginning to be a mother....

I'm an American, and I love Britney! :) She's fab.

I think it's a weird tendency of Americans to have an obsession with celebrities who become overweight. I think since most of us do tend to be overweight, people look at celebrities who gain weight with a sort of perverse delight that their lives are no longer perfect either. One also observes in the tabloids, "Stars WITHOUT THEIR MAKEUP!" Same theory.

I also feel bad for Britney because she married such a deadbeat in her desire for an immediate family. She really wanted to have kids so she decided to use the most easily accessible source of sperm, which unhappily ended up being K. Fed.

The car seat incident was definitely irresponsible, but I think a lot of new moms make mistakes sometimes that can compromise their children's safety. I hope that she's more safety-conscious in the future.

First off, most woman dont have millions of dollars, a house full of staff to tend our every wim and every eye in America on them. Its none of our business but she makes it our business by giving exclusive wedding photos and interviews to People magazine after the wedding. Doing the horror that was "Britney and Kevin: Chaotic", selling photos of her and her child to the mags, and doing endless interviews about nothing but her personal life. She doesnt speak on a proffesional level at all. Celebrities need to realize that if they just plain out stop responding to personal matters, the press will leave them alone. Look at Jenniffer Lopez, Gwynyth Paltrow, Jeniffer Aniston, and many others. They lost interest and moved on.

because shes a celebrity. she gets paid SOO much money,... not to be fat... not to look like crud... why do you think she makes so much..to LOOK GOOD. thats part of her job as a famous celeb... i think that dropping a baby a few times is pretty bad. if you ask me... and gaining weight...when your britney spears .. and your in the media alot its your job to stay in shape and to look good. shes a bad mother because she let someone fracture her babies skull, she drove with him on her seat, she almost dropped him on his head but didn't spill a drop of her drink, and she drove in a car with a baby seat the wrong way. yeah id say she's a pretty bad mother.

well not all Americans are like this. well sometimes people may here gossip about Brittany. Also not just American heard about Brittany Spears kissing another girl. That's what made people not like her and start talking bad about her.Yea some people said about her getting pregnant and showing her belly that wasn't cool.

I feel empathy for her. I went through those stages at her age. However, I am not a celebrity. Therefore, no one noticed that my baby's car seat was facing the wrong way, or that I tripped while carrying my baby. Heck, they didn't even know when he fell out of his high chair!
