I'm going with the last 100 years of science and modern science to say we evolved from apes. There is no evidence supporting the creation theory other than the Bible. While many things in it are true, not the theory of how we came to be. Though it is said that all the evidence supporting human evolution could fit in a pickup truck, that is only because what we have found is usually small skulls and parts of the skeleton. Also that evidence that would fit in the truck, is only the original fossils, not the other fossils we have found. The amount of evidence supporting evolution of all creatures, not just humans, is overwhelming, compared to the evidence supporting the creation theory. And new evidence for evolution is found every year. The creation theory does not explain the dinosaurs, or why no human remains have been found dating back past the last few 100,000 years. There is simply not enough evidence for the creation theory to make it a real, and serious, scientific theory. It And many people will say our DNA is too different from apes to support evolution, but in fact we share over 99% of our DNA with chimpanzees. And I have seen where people have come up with a "statistic" saying the mathematical possibilities of evolution are 6 million to 1, but in fact the odds are closer 1 to 1, meanig it definitely happened. As I said before, the creation theory is merely the refuge of the religious, and the unimformed.

The two views do not have to be mutually exclusive. God could have molded each creation from the previous one, taking billions of years (the creation story in the Bible talks of six TIME PERIODS, refered to as "days").

The creation story in the Bible is a beautiful jewish poem with several layers of reality and meaning. The numbers 7, 3, and 10 reoccur hundreds of times (mentionings, groupings, etc). There is a wonderful pattern, based off of the words and meanings of words. However, the creation story seems to repeatedly highlight one concept: the Shabbot or Sabbath. The concept of taking time to relax and spend time with friends and family. It would be unfortunate to assume this story was just a record of how God created the universe.

Back to evolution. Remember, that Darwin himself became a Christian. Either he found a way to reconcile his beliefs, or he just had faith in God, despite is scientific doubts.

Adaptation and micro-evolution happen everyday. For some, science is a way of disproving God. For others, it's a way of witnessing his miracles.

There are particles that can be in two places at once; there are particles that can jump between space, without actually traveling the distance between. The speed of light is not relative; no matter how fast you move away from it, it always approaches you at the speed of light.

The Earth's size, tilt, distance from sun, gravity, atmosphere, etc are all absolutely perfect. A hair difference on any one of those properties, and Earth would not be able to sustain life.

What's more, our moon is 400 times smaller than the sun, yet 400 times closer. The ratios are so perfectly close that Earth is the only planet in the KNOWN UNIVERSE to have a perfect solar eclipse.

In 2 dimensions, a circle could never be the same shape as a rectangle. Anyone thinking solely in 2D would argue that to no end. However, in 3D, we know that they can coexist as a cylinder. Scientists now say that the universe MUST (based off of string theory) have 11 dimensions. What concepts do we divide over, that in reality (in higher dimensions) can really be the same thing? Can predestination and freewill really be the same thing? Can karma and chance be one concept? Can evolution and creation be the same thing?

The science goes on and on. Biology, physics, chemistry, etc... For me, science proves God.

There is so much overwhelming evidence that man and apes evolved from a common ancestor that it is ridiculous. There are similiar gene sequences, similiar behavior patterns, similair physical structure, etc. What is there to say that man suddenly appeared in his current form? Faith and the oft edited (at least in the bibles case) book that supports that faith. I personally don't believe in any religion, but if God did put us here he slowly eveolved us from the creature apes evolved from.

The two views aren't mutually exclusive.

Charles isn't the only one saying it.

The abrahamic religions are fairy tales that encourage people to worship grossly distorted reflections of their own egos.

You forgot that the originator of the abrahamic creation myth was the Jewish religion. Or should we add antisemitism to your list of ignorances.

Do you have any proof other than what's written in the Koran and the Bible that God created Man ?

Science can prove that Man has evolved from apes, you cannot prove that God created Man.

Gonna have to go with 100+ years of scientific evidence and say that we evolved from apes.

God is our creator, and so He very well could have 'authored' evolution.
