Nothing wrong with that at all - its good for the tone to be lightened up from time to time.
If people believe it, that makes it even funnier too, no harm done.

Of course not! Asking far-fetched questions stimulate the brain, for both the answerer and the questioner. I strongly encourage these questions, the questions that aren't asked often but might have interesting answers!
The only things that I am against are genuinely dumb answers. There are no dumb questions, just answers!
