FIRST it is no longer a "war". We are protecting the country from insurgents that are trying to take it over and/or trying to cause civil disruption. Peace keeping is what its called. If it was War we would know exactly who our enemy is.
Second: We need to stay there untiil Iraq can protect itself.
Their government needs to work, the police need to work, the military needs to work, and there has to be enough economic infrastructure to keep it going.

Regardless of what your individual opinion is of Saddam Hussein, Iraq was not broken before the US invasion. There was a working government, services still worked, if not perfectly and the average citizen did not have to worry overly much about whether it was more dangerous to stay home or go to work.
The US invasion broke the country. The government was dismantled, as was the military and the police force. Services did were not available. And now bombings aimed at everyday citizens are almost a daily occurrence.
So now the country has to be fixed, that is a working government that is capable of providing security and basic services to its citizens. We broke it, we have to fix it. It could be argued that the US military presence is as much a threat to peace and stability (giving the insurgents a target and a reason to target other Iraqis as being collaberators) as the state of the current Iraqi military and police force without foreign troops occupying the country until the government is capable of coping with homegrown and foreign threats on its own.
Personally, I think we are near a point where the US can slowly start withdrawing troops and letting the Iraqi security forces take on more of the responsibilities.
But certainly not cut and run. That only reinforces the impression that the way to defeat the US is to be a large enough thorn in the side and we will tire of the nuisance and give up. We should not interfere with the makeup or the functioning of the Iraqi government. That should only be determined by the Iraqi people (the US used to be big on promoting self-determination of government by the citizens. I guess we don't like how that actually turns out in actual practice.).

War itself serves only the rich control freaks that start them. They hurt everybody else.
We should not be leaving our American soil to terrorize nor dictate any country. Both Bush administrations have failed to protect America's interest, just by going there in the first place.
Our government in general since it's conception has not represented the American people, as it was supposed to. Almost all wars begin with a battle over who controls the oil. The Japanese invaded Pearl Harbor for the fuel, and our STUPID government let them have it. Not only did they get the fuel, but our electronics technology, as well as a lot of our government owned real estate (tax payer owned I should say).
The obvious solution is to not rely on oil in the first place. There ae alternative fuels available, and have been available for decades. The oil companies are so rich and powerful they will never allow us to use them, though. They would be out of business and so would the government as we know it, so why would the government care. They prefer to fight wars over oil because it is good for the big businesses that support them. They don't care about the small businesses trying to make a living. I'm not talking about the small businesses that make $200,000 to $2,000,000 per year, I mean the ones that can barely make $50,000 a year.
I think the next time congress declares war, we Americans should declare war on congress.

First of all, we are not in a war in Iraq. Bush declared the war over in May, 2003. We are now an occuping army. Yes, you heard me right. We are occupping a country that we invaded unprovoked and overthrew the government. So yes we should end the occupation and pull our brave troops out before anymore die.

In the future, the U.S. will have to go country by country where terrorists might take over the government and restore order. This is to avoid having to use the "Atomic Bomb" again. There is a real probability that this will happen if terrorists take over a country. Terrorists don't care if innocent people are killed or a country is destroyed in order to get there way. There are no two ways about it, we must act now!

Yes, because we are in this war for all the wrong reasons. This is a money war not a freedom war. It is bush's opportunity to make him and the rich richer.

Yes what are we acheiving over there? I think the greatest thing we are creating is a bunch of kids who have watched as American soldiers have came in and killed their famillies. (even though that isn't necessary the case the view from a child's eyes is slighty different) so in return we are helping create the next generation of terrorist. They see what we are doing there and hating us and when they grow up in 15 years they will want to come and cause harm to us too.
