Have you tried giving him a bit of Mylicon after he feeds? That helped with my baby. She didn't want to burp either. However, remember, even if your baby doesn't burp the gas will come out the other end and that's all right, too. Though it is better if you can get him to burp.

My son never wanted to burp either. I was told my pediatrician to try for at least 2-3 minutes with rubbing the back and patting the back. As they get older it takes longer to work the burps up and out. I was told that they don't or won't always burp. If the baby is not sucking in any air while feeding either from breast or bottle, then they may not have a burp. You can always give mylacon drops just to be on the safe side as well. Good Luck to you and your little one!

You can get this tea from the grocery store. It's called Mazanilla-it's in the spanish spices section it comes in a small bag, it looks like twigs and leaves. You boil it and then strain it in a bottle. Let it cool until room temp. Don't replace this with feedings or anything, it will just relax baby so he can pass gas and help him burp.

My son was hard to burp,. make sure that you do get him to burp or he will cry from gas pain in his belly. I would hold my hand under his chin and lean him forward on my lap and rub his back in an upward motion. Then pat him gently starting from the middle of his back and as you pat him move up his back , keep repeating til he burps . You also may stop half way threw feeding, try burping then let him finish feeding . also you can rub him using the same motions , only put him up to your shoulder. Hope this helps

Try Cocyntal homeopathic drops. Pricey, but worth it. It's for colic and fussiness. No side effects and not addictive. Some times baby will need just one to do the trick, sometimes as many as 3.

buy some gripe water & keep it refridgerated. you have the choice of with alcohol or without--personally I found the original with alcohol (it's a minute amount) worked the best. I used one of those medicine spoons you get from the pharmacist. good luck

try burping him after every ounce he eats, or if breast feeding every few minutes. if you have to, lay him on his stomach while patting his back, that may help. or they have infant gas drops you can give him, they sell them at wal mart and they work really well.
