Just put it under the frame twords the front of the car. Don't forget to use your jack stands either. Put them either under your A-frame arms on each side(it's the arms that connect to the lower ball joint) because you shouldn't just rely on your jack alone in case the hydrolics fail or it falls over for whatever reason. I have seen people get really injured because they just used their jack by itself.

I recommend purchasing some of the modern Rhino ramps that are made from high strength plastics. They work great if your patient enough to line them up carefully with the wheels and have a friend help you slowly drive the car up and down the ramps on a level surface. Then chock the rear wheels well and place the jack stands under the front frame rails or under the front suspension for proper safety measures. Always have a good quality floor jack ready for an emergency and a friend there to save your life if an accident were to occur.

Most newer car are built up so you put the Jack behind the front tire

On the rear put the jack in front of the tire

Be sure to use some kind of safty block before attempting to get under your car..

Do not use the open cement blocks for they may crush...
