To be honest (i'm straight) i'm not anymore interested in the lifestyle of my gay friends than i am of the straight ones! I mean i'll ask them how they are or what they have done over the weekend but nothing i don't ask any one else!! I think some straight people either: a)secretly wonder if they are missing out on something; either sexually or with the lifestyle/social scene OR b)-and i know lots of people like this-are pathalogically nosey! They have to ask you questions about anything and absoloutely EVERYTHING! Its just the way some people are; they cannot function happily without feelin' as if they are included in everything!!! Don't some people just DO your head in!!!!

I am straight, I am not bored or boring. I am just myself as you are. I know many gay people and they are more boring than any straight person...I do think however that the gay lifestyle is very much into the nightlife. That to me is boring. Been there, done that. Maybe it could be that the straight people you know are just into different things than you are and there is the difference.

They already understand what its like to be straight and just want to understand the other side of the story, with questions like yours you are only hindering the process of understanding and also the acceptance. Why shouldn't they be interested its in the news, they find that maybe some of their friends are gay or even family .

People are either fascinated or afraid of the gay lifestyle because they don't understand it. It is a way of life that they do not and will never live, and that causes a lot of curiosity about the way gay people live. That's all it is, and all it ever will be.

I do it out of natural curiosity, when I find out someone is gay-I talk about it to show that I'm okay with it. If I said nothing I'd be afraid they'd assume I looked down on it.

because they are the Bastian of the moral thread that holds the complex tapestry of our sensitive society together, without them, our society will fall into complete and utter chaos!
Translation:
these people have nothing better to do so they come to the LGBTQ area to tell US how to live OUR lives, and what is wrong with OUR lifestyle.
well who wants to scrutinize their sad existence when they can come here and play the "hollier than thou" card.... nothing like dissing others to feel like you are an important person!!!!
so GO GAY BASHERS!!!!! you must be really proud of your kind!

Probably out of frustration and boredom with "straight" relationships. I can understand natural curiousity but they don't need to bombard you with "gay" questions all the time.

I am not a lesbian but I have had realtionships with women in the past so would that make me bi? I think alot of people in our society have opened their eyes to the world of homosexuality and are beginning to accept it as being okay,(about time!) so alot of people who are "straight" are curious because it is something kinda thrilling to them. in my opinion.

I don't know that we are. Personally I could care less and a lot of gay people bore me. They are very predictable.
